System Architect 5
This position is with the RFID Integrated Solutions within Commercial Aviation Services. Senior System Architect will lead activities to define requirements, design and verify robust architecture, data and components of new applications as well as extending current applications. Leads the identification of design constraints and ensures architecture conforms to requirements. Incorporates architecture functions into software development lifecycle. Assesses feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives. Performs trade-off analyses. Evaluates products to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments. Drafts data and information management products and service standards. Assesses impact of architectural decisions to product lifecycle. Develops architecture and data/information management standards and strategies. Coaches and mentors others.

Typical Education/Experience
Technical bachelor's degree and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

An extremely fast paced and dynamic environment. Successful candidate has the ability to transition quickly and hit the ground running. A good understanding of Macroscope documentation is a plus. Possible travel involved. Must be able to work well with a diverse team; meeting delivery dates is a must.
