UPS Supply Chain Solutions is currently seeking a Service Parts Logistics (SPL) Supervisor to impact the organization by supervising daily activities for an account, multiple departments, or stations of one or more Forward Stocking Locations (FSL), and by acting as a customer liaison within UPS SCS. Key responsibilities include supervising a group of exempt and/or non-management employees who oversee inbound flow, inventory control and outbound flow activities for customer products. In addition, a SPL Supervisor II is responsible for assisting in inspection and quality control activities, including incoming and in-process inspection; sampling; vendor relations to meet specifications and quality standards; and resolution of quality issues. Individuals in this role also play a key part in service to customers, including assisting in new account implementation; providing customer service and problem resolution assistance; tracking customer activity; compiling statistics; completing compliance audits; and providing analysis and making recommendations.
The Service Parts Logistics Supervisor II responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
• Manages daily operations for one or more Forward Stocking Locations (FSL), ensures compliance with written operating plan and procedures.
• Responsible for managing a critical parts delivery operation ensuring all customer on-time performance criteria are met.
• Ensures compliance with customer requirements, quality goals, service levels, inventory accuracy, and performance standards.
• Evaluate quality goals to develop process improvements to increase quality levels
• Ensure compliance with performance goals e.g. Lines Per Hour (LPH), receiving and shipping goals, Key Performance Indicator's (KPI)
• Identifies exceptions, formulates recommendations, and implements process improvements.
• Consistently communicates new information and changes pertaining to processes, procedures, and policies.
• Conducts job specific training of staff, including ongoing training, education, and development.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, labor laws, and OSHA, FAA, DOT, and Hazardous Materials regulations.
• Provides steady flow of information to management, customers, internal personnel, and direct reports as committed.
• Responsible for ensuring data accuracy and timeliness of the UPS SCS and customer systems used.
• Managing a P&L, inclusive of monitoring expenses, complying with administrative functions and ensuring billing accuracy.
• Develop metrics (operation specific and account specific) and conduct daily performance tracking (e.g. Data Repository System (DRS) , Ops reports, daily and weekly financial/production tracking)
• Create and manage account specific required reports (e.g. First In First Out (FIFO), out-of-stock, slotting, Flash Report)
• As a member of UPS SCS management, this individual also has responsibilities in budgeting / financial administration, functional administration, and staff management (including career development, staffing, performance management, and organizational development) for all employees in the department.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Two-year college certificate or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum of 3+ years of operations experience, preferably in a high volume warehouse or manufacturing operation, including two years operations management experience is required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction and the ability to motivate and manage a staff – especially under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent mathematical and computational skills is required.
• Excellent customer service skills is required.
• Proficiency in English required; Proficiency in multiple languages (especially local language) is strongly preferred.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have a legal right to work in the US
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
