Software Tester
The WVSG Recruitment team is currently seeking a Software Tester for our client in Santa Clara, CA.
Our client’s expertise in programmable GPUs has led to breakthroughs in parallel processing which make supercomputing inexpensive and widely accessible. They consistently set new standards in visual computing with breathtaking, interactive graphics available on devices ranging from tablets and portable media players to notebooks and workstations.
The Software Tester will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Installing and testing the latest products on the latest version to verify the products are up to the highest level of quality that customers have come to expect.
Setup a temp office on MS campus
Get MS to enable these folks with daily or once every other day access to OS bits
They run a regression test regularly to make sure that MS OS and our drivers are not diverging.
When they find a bug – setup a remote for our dev teams to look go ahead.
Setup remotes for dev teams to analyze fixes and upcoming changes.
Requirements:
The Successful Candidate must have:
Basic knowledge of PC System HW, including how to update system FW, install Windows OS , install HW, and install device drivers.
Ability to set up kernel debugger and connect to a debug session
Basic Windows PC testing methodology
Good Problem Solving skills
Bug identification & documentation, including documenting steps to reproduce bug
