Job Description
Isilon is looking for a top caliber technical learning and development professional to fill this role. This role will work as a global Isilon subject matter expert to design, develop, deliver and promote Isilon training programs. In this role you will lead the design, development and manage the coordination of Isilon specific curriculum integrated into EMC Education Services programs. Duties include acting as Isilon’s liaison into to the EMC education system. This person will drive the promotion of Isilon’s training programs within EMC’s Education Services, new hire training, and anywhere else where there is opportunity to further promote the Isilon product and services. In addition, this is a hands-on, senior individual contributor position with an opportunity to create and deliver a full curriculum of training and development programs implemented across a broad range of modality. In addition to technology/product competence and instructional design capabilities, this individual will need to be self-motivated and work effectively in cross-functional, dynamic project environments. This role will spend the majority of their time located in Hopkinton/Franklin, MA in order to have close ties to EMC Corporate contacts.
Key Responsibilities:

* Become a subject matter expert on Isilon products and solutions

* Collaborates with Mercer Road Technical Solutions Education, TSG, Sales, Field Marketing and Channels to assess technical competence and develop/deliver programs to ensure pre-sales technical readiness

* Responsible for the insertion of Isilon training content into new channels, content delivery to EMC employees/partners, and promotion of Isilon training opportunities

* Provides technical and educational EMC product and services content to Isilon Learning Team to integrate in our core training programs

* Work with EMC leadership and learning teams to conduct a needs assessments/gap analysis and identify a go forward learning and development strategy for integrating Isilon products and solutions across EMC

* Develop and manage learning curriculum and roll out new programs on an as needed basis to build expertise and accelerate the sales motion of Isilon products and services

* Identify and implement best methodologies for training delivery (i.e. web-based, classroom, etc.)

* Develop train-the-trainer courses to enable employees/partners to deliver Isilon specific content.

* Evaluate program(s) effectiveness on an on-going basis. Develop reporting metrics, ROI of programs.

Qualifications: Education and Experience

* A minimum of 7 – 10+ years learning and development, sales enablement, and/or product marketing experience; 5+ years of significant program management experience within a corporate environment.

* A certified storage professional is preferred.

* Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience in software/hardware technology environment; master’s degree strongly preferred.

* Strong understanding of enterprise storage software, including network-attached storage and storage area networking is preferred.

* Technical depth and expertise required to interact in detail with EMC Leadership, Education Services, product management, engineering and solutions teams for interpretation into training and curriculum development.

* Experience in instructional design, adult learning theory, e-learning, classroom learning and experience working with SMEs in the design of learning programs.

* Experience conducting organizational level, program level, and individual level needs analysis to identify development needs and target program development.

* Excellent presentation skills; analytical and problem solving abilities, working with all levels of an organization.

* Knowledge of technological training delivery platforms.
