Description
DUTIES: Provide network engineering support for short message service (SMS) platforms technologies and services; perform LAN and WAN configuration and network engineering in large ISP environments using open shortest path first (OSPF), border gateway protocol (BGP), multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) protocols, Unix, PERL and shell scripting; write detailed engineering plans and lead cross functional project teams in the deployment of new messaging platforms into the network; work closely with IP engineering teams, project manager, architects and vendors in platform deployment; monitor network performance, platform capacity and support planning teams on required network capacity augmentation; assist other network engineering teams in problem analysis and diagnosis with a focus on security products, standards and practices.

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering or Computer Engineering followed by five years of progressive experience in LAN and WAN configuration and network engineering in large ISP environments using multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) protocols, Unix, PERL and shell scripting with two years experience therein to include configuring and network engineering using open shortest path first (OSPF) and border gateway protocols (BGP).
