Lead Engineer:
Provide Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which includes internal and external resources and customers. Leads project execution to complete the engineering integration support and production certification for 767/777 Interiors. Identifies performance metrics. Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required for engineering integration activities, including delivery certification. Assigns responsibility for activities to team members and ensures technical correctness and consistency of products and services. Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity gains, and lessons learned. Identifies corrective actions to improve project or team performance. Manages implementation of significant process change and improvement activities. Identify opportunities for improvements in execution and efficiency. Work under minimal direction.

Level 4 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 5 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's 14 or more years' experience, Master's with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. The 747/767/777 Interiors Engineering organization is seeking an exceptional individual for a lead engineer position in the Interiors Certification group. The lead engineer is responsible for overseeing the technical, tactical, and project management aspects of certification for all Interior commodities. This position requires extensive coordination with suppliers, customer engineering, certification, factory personnel and representatives across multiple product lines and airplane models. The lead ensures that the team meets schedule, release and cost targets. The lead also assigns work to various members of the team, assesses supplier health and devises strategic methods for addressing value stream interests and concerns. This position requires the lead to ensure emergent fleet issues are expeditiously coordinated and communicated across multiple technical/safety review boards in collaboration with the Safety and Service Engineering departments. Additional expectations include supporting group efforts related to quality, lean and process improvement initiatives. A successful candidate will have superior leadership, project management and technical skills and should be comfortable communicating complex technical items with internal and external executives. Candidates must also be able to effectively prioritize multiple projects in support of key milestones and aircraft delivery schedules. Knowledge of Part 25 Federal Aviation Requirements is preferred. A diverse technical background and a general knowledge of manufacturing processes are helpful. Occasional travel to domestic and international sites maybe required.
