Avamere Skilled Nursing of Tacoma is currently seeking a full-time Medical Records Director. The primary purpose of the Medical Records Director is to perform clerical/reception duties for the nursing unit; maintain the organization and integrity of all Medical Record Charts on the unit; file loose paperwork in appropriate locations within patient chart in a timely manner; assemble and disassemble records per department procedure; transcribe orders accurately; thin charts to split files; facilitates patient admissions, transfers and discharges; and schedule patient appointments and transportation.
