Intern Student Engineer
The Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) Supplier Management (SM) organization is looking for engineering interns to partner with Supplier Management functions and bring value-added Engineering perspective and expertise. In particular, you will team with one of the following SM groups on an Engineering focused project/assignment: Product Development, Seats, SM Operations, or Structures
In this role you will learn more about how Engineering plays a key role in supporting Supply Chain strategy and management of a world-wide supply base. SM Engineering interns will be assigned projects utilizing their specific Engineering knowledge, while partnering with a cross-functional team within other disciplines including engineering, manufacturing and supplier management. This integration of functional areas increases opportunity for process improvement, product development, and adds value for both the Supplier Management and Engineering organizations.
Example projects or type of assignment include:
Analysis/evaluation of requirements or standards
Engineering services strategy
Profitability or time studies/initiatives
Various assignments or projects related to Structures, Systems, Galleys, Avionics, Quality/Flow/Cost, Lifecycle, or other identified area that could require analysis, design, formulating requirements or documenting specifications.

Will you have completed your sophomore year by June 2012?
Typical Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED.
