Supports the development, implementation and monitoring of environmental management systems, processes and programs. Assesses or assists in the assessment of the impact of emerging environmental issues, legislation and regulations on company operations. May act a primary site interface or will supports site interface with relevant regulatory agencies.

Ability to apply general knowledge of environmental engineering principles (e.g., process instrumentation, electrical, plumbing systems, etc.) to several media.
Preferred - Complete knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by Environmental Health and Safety Science disciplines. Ability to apply the complete knowledge of occupational health and safety sciences to understand, analyze, and communicate safety and health information and mitigate safety and health risk. Ability to apply complete knowledge of environmental engineering principles (e.g., process instrumentation, electrical, plumbing systems, etc.) to develop or manage control processes for several media.
• Government Laws/Regulations
Basic - General knowledge of relevant government laws and regulations impacting the functional responsibilities of the occupation.

Typical Education/Experience
Level 2 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
