SkoFlo Industries, based in Woodinville, WA, a world leader in the design and manufacture of chemical injection valves for the offshore petroleum industry seeks an experienced Engineering Manager and dynamic leader to join our management team.
JOB SUMMARY:
Plan and direct the accomplishment of engineering objectives. Provide technical guidance and ensure sound engineering practices and procedures. Success against goals and customer satisfaction must be a primary objective.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Plans and directs the work of the highly skilled engineering staff, placing particular emphasis on sustaining engineering, project engineering, and new product introduction.
Develop and implement engineering procedures.
Manage New Product Introduction
Organizes engineering staff to accomplish goals efficiently and authorizes recruitment of additional personnel as required.
Monitors progress of projects, confers with project engineers, and reviews reports to see that development is progressing according to schedule and within budgetary guidelines.
Reports to General Manager on a regular basis. Works closely with GM, New Product Development Manager, and Manufacturing Manager to establish long-range operating goals and expansion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in engineering required; master's degree in engineering or business administration preferred.
Ten years' experience in increasingly complex supervisory positions.
Excellent technical, conceptual, and financial skills.
Ability to motivate team efforts to accomplish goals.
Strong business acumen.
Demonstrated success working in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment.
Successful track record as a product engineer and engineering manager
Demonstrated success in developing and managing New Product Introduction (NPI).
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Ability to build strong positive relationships with customers.
Strategic Thinker.
