Job description The Director of Government and Quality Agency Relations is accountable for working with Milliman CareGuidelines® senior management and key personnel at government, public policy and various accrediting agencies. This person serves as the corporate liaison between Milliman CareGuidelines® and accreditation agencies such as NCQA, URAC, Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and regulatory agencies such as HHS and CMS, together with additional groups such as IoM, AHRQ and the National Quality Forum. Reports to the Senior Vice-President of Product Management. This position has unique responsibilities to support efforts to achieve the organizationâ??s key strategic initiatives in the federal government sector. Responsibilities * Collaboratively and consultatively lead development of federal government strategy. * Monitor federal legislation and report on potential impact to organization. * Research, develop and implement outreach activities to support brand/name recognition in new markets as identified. * Required to spend up to 40% time traveling. * The person in this role builds and maintains relationships with, and influences, health care accreditation and regulatory agencies. The ideal candidate provides strategic direction to the executive team to foster stronger alliance with these organizations.
* This person will need to collaborate and consult effectively with the Product Management, Team, Sales and Account Management Team, Clinical Team, Marketing, Customer Insights as well as the Legal and Public Affairs Departments of Milliman, Inc. * This person will align with key decision-makers within NCQA, URAC and Joint Commission to monitor policy decisions as they affect CareGuidelines® strategic product and marketing direction and provide influence to key decision-makers to enhance our working relationship with these accreditation agencies. * This person will consult effectively with the Sales and Account Management staff to enhance the client relationship with Buccaneer Computer Systems & Service, Inc. to provide Milliman CareGuidelines® to Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs), Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) and Fiscal Intermediaries (FIs) Experience * Minimum of 5 years of successful track record in healthcare organization, including demonstrated strong client relationships among high-visibility organizations. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
