Collateral Compliance Analyst/Senior Collateral Compliance Analyst
This position is responsible for processes, procedures and controls that support administration of loan collateral pledged to the Seattle Bank by members under any collateral arrangement. This includes implementation and documentation of collateral procedures that ensure compliance with the Seattle Bank’s regulatory and internal policy requirements. Serves as the member’s direct collateral consultant and assists members on how to most effectively pledge collateral.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure loan balances that members’ report to support extensions of credit accurately represent eligible collateral in accordance with regulatory and policy requirements.
- Approve or recommend adjustments to reported loan balances to ensure that member borrowing capacity is based on eligible collateral.
- Develop procedures, systems and reports that provide for effective and efficient monitoring and reporting of eligible collateral and eligibility verification.
- Manage and/or conduct reviews of member pledged loan portfolios/policies and procedures to determine the accuracy and appropriateness of reports used to monitor eligible loan collateral while ensuring the bank’s risk is minimized.
- Ensure that collateral reporting and verification procedures are communicated appropriately and effectively to members and Seattle Bank associates.
- Work closely with the members in determining appropriate methods for pledging collateral, identifying new collateral types not currently being pledged, and educate members on any changes to collateral policy, procedures or eligibility requirements.
- Maintain collateral verification and compliance files and databases.
