Other Locations: nullPosition Specific Skills:Candidate must have 8 years painting and or corrosion control experience for marine applications. Current NACE Certification as Paint Inspector or SCAT Technician preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Confidential security clearance.

Essential Job Responsibilities:Responsible for interfacing with customers, managing subcontractors and ability to provide work direction to others. May oversee one or more jobs. Inspects, repairs, maintains and modifies equipment of specialty. Specialties in a single trade area include those that maybe certified as Welder, Pipe fitter, Brazier, Universal A/C&R Mechanic or Electrician and those that use or operate specialized equipment including riggers, sheet metal workers and painters or specialized coating applicators.

Supervises others and manages one or more multiple jobs. Applies comprehensive understanding of production and processes toward completion of assignments. Responsible for interfacing with customers, managing subcontractors and ability to provide work direction to others. Performs a variety of complicated and non routine tasks. Develops and uses technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and task or trip reports. Schedules, reports and briefs customers and senior management. Performs duties outside of specialty in order to complete installation or work assignment.

Knowledge Skills:Ability to supervise others and manage one or more multiple jobs. Ability to oversee, schedule and assign tasks for one or more jobs. Applies high level skills of specialty trades functions and tools. Ability to interface with external customers and communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to use of basic hand tools, portable power tools, and tools of specialty. Ability to perform multiple tasking and meet critical deadlines.
Basic Qualifications:


* HS education or Trade School 10 years of related experience.
* Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes.
* The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 20 lbs.
* Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.
* Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels.
* May ride ships at sea for extended periods.
* May require wearing a respirator.
* Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States.

Equipment Used:
* Basic hand tools (hammers, wrenches, pliers, saws, etc)
* Portable electric/pneumatic tools (drills, grinders, saws, etc); bench grinder, drill press, hydrostatic or other test equipment; welding, cutting, brazing, rigging blasting, coating and material moving equipment.
* Computer skills including the ability to log on and navigate through as series of menus/icons on a major system controlled by a central computer and the basic use of COTS software, electronic mail and internet.
