Emerald CIty Moving and Storage is an Omni Workspace Company. We are looking for an individual with a Bachelor degree in Accounting and 2-4 years experience in supervising.
This position will support the General Manager in the operations of the business and will supervise/direct administrative ng with ensuring compliance with accounting principles and corporate standards. This position will also provide business and financial analysis to provide growth and cost savings along with process improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities;
Takes primary responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness of all transactions affecting the company's financial performance.
Provide accurate and timely invoicing
Ensure vendor invoices are accurate and processed through the system on a timely basis
Track, evaluate and complete monthly commission reporting
Track and record all cash transactions
Offer suggestions for procedures and policies necessary for the efficient and effective operation of the company
Work with corporate FInance and Information Technologies to ensure data integrity is delivered and maintained
Work with Sales, Operations and Finance to reduce company DSO's and Customer invoice disputes
Work with General Manager, Operations and Warehouse to manage direct and overhead labor costs
Participate in the development of the company budget and advise on day to day business to achieve financial goals established with the budget and personal objective goals
Assist in driving strategic decisions through analysis of key business and economic drivers and financial results and advise management of variances, risks and opportunities
Requirements:
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and 2-4 years experience with supervising employees
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficient in Excel and ability to learn new Operating/Accounting systems
Knowledge of the Office Furniture Services industry preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross functional areas
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draws valid conclusions to solve problems
SIx SIgma or other lean expense management program experience preferred
