Accountant Manager L
The position will be responsible for the leadership of the financial reporting and consolidation team for Boeing Capital Corporation (BCC), including separate Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings for BCC and for the submittal of BCC financial accounting data for enterprise consolidation; monthly closing processes and reporting, intercompany accounting and accounts payable. Responsibilities include
- Taking the primary role in the preparation of Form 10-Q and Form 10-K for BCC -including Sarbanes Oxley Section 906 and Section 302 certifications - and support for BCC related disclosures in the Boeing Form 10-Q and Form 10-K and earnings release
- Understanding, reviewing, questioning, verifying and explaining transactions, monthly variance analysis to prior month and forecast
- Continue strong relationships with other functions within BCC (FP&A, Aircraft Financial Services; Treasury) and the Enterprise (Corporate, BCA, SSG); support of Opportunities and Risk reviews.
- Understanding and maintaining various controls related to financial reporting processes (including reconciliation oversight), and ensuring accurate and efficient recording of various transactions
- Understanding, reviewing and approving journal transactions relating to debt, derivatives, short-term investments, and intercompany activity for BCC payroll, travel, accounts payable and other intracompany account transfers (ICATs)
- Maintaining the structure of accounting business units and both domestic and foreign subsidiaries used to administer the BCC portfolio, including oversight of audits, when necessary.
Other responsibilities include supporting Financial Services Information Technology (FSIT) initiatives, interaction with internal and external auditors; leadership in efforts and projects to streamline and lean processes and procedures; and deliver enterprise functional goals and objectives through representation on Accounting Functional Leadership Team and other enterprise teams.

Significant expertise and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and SEC guidance on financial reporting and disclosures. Ability to implement and draft new disclosure requirements. Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. The candidate will have a demonstrated history of being a strategic and dynamic leader with strong team-building, collaborative and decision making skills and the ability to drive business results. Focus on continued development of the finance team and functional excellence Certified Public Accountant with Bachelors degree required. 15 years related work experience preferred. Knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley Act. Leasing and finance industry experience preferred. Experience with Peoplesoft desired.
