IS/Business Technology System

Bellevue College (Bellevue, WA) now has a new opening at our Institute for Business and Information Technology (IBIT) directed toward professionals in business and IS/IT who wish to teach and impart their extensive knowledge to inquiring minds!

Full-time faculty member will be directly responsible in the following areas: direct student learning in assigned courses; establish and assess student learning outcomes; participate in the development of program curriculum and activities; advise students and mentor faculty; meet accreditation requirements; serve as program chair if needed; maintain current knowledge and skills in areas of assignment; engage in professional development and/or certification activities; participate in governance, decision making, and activities for the program, division, and college; cultivate a positive, supportive learning environment in which diversity and pluralism are valued.

This individual is responsible for teaching courses that may include, but not limited to: Microsoft software and reporting tools; Adobe products; web tools; cloud-based tools; scripting languages; database and programming concepts; SQL programming.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors’s degree from an accredited institution in an applicable field
• Washington State Vocational Certificate or will become vocationally certificated, which requires at least 2 years of applicable industry experience within the last 5 years
• Experience teaching, developing curriculum, and program management in post-secondary setting
