Providence is calling Perioperative Registered Nurses!

This Registered Nurse designs, coordinates, and delivers care to meet the identified needs of patients whose protective reflexes or self-care abilities are potentially compromised because they are having operative or other invasive procedures. Perioperative nurses possess and apply knowledge of the procedures and the patients intraoperative experience throughout the patients care continuum. The Perioperative nurse assesses, diagnoses, plans, intervenes, and evaluates the outcome of interventions based on criteria that support a standard of care targeted toward this specific population. The perioperative nurse addresses the physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual responses of the individual that have been caused by the prospect or performance of the invasive procedure. The Perioperative RN will take call as scheduled. We offer 100% credit for all applicable RN experience!

Position Specifics
This position is located at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. This is a full time position, 40 hrs/wk, day shifts in the Surgery Cardiovascular Operating Room. Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: A Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Washington State Licensure as a Registered Nurse. Basic Life Support (BLS) required, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified within 6 month of hire.
Experience: Recent CVOR experience is preferred. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
