We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator for the accounts payable department to work in our scenic downtown Seattle office. The qualified candidate will preferably have an Associates degree and one year of accounts payable and/or customer service experience. The successful applicant will be detail oriented and organized with strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to meet/beat deadlines while maintaining error free work. Must be proficient with data entry, ten key skills, and MS Office applications.
This position will provide customer service to communities and Seattle office staff to expedite A/P process and trouble shoot problems. Ensure accuracy of information obtained from communities. Make sure all downloads are received and accurately transfer into corporate accounting system. Accurately enter invoices into system and process employee expense reports, checking for accuracy and appropriate backup. Select items for payment within company guidelines, cut checks and mail out. Transfer check files to communities. Enforce purchasing and department policies (P.O.s when required, appropriate approvals, backup, etc.) Process stop payments and void checks, ensure month end A/P balances to G/L and process month end close at communities and in the corporate accounting system. Ensure positive vendor relationships. Assist in training of new Business Office Directors. Research discrepancies as needed and perform various accounting/clerical duties as required (filing, mailing, etc.)
